The Breeze House

Hampton Court: riverside garden

A garden for someone who loves colour. This is the first summer after planting.

The client bought a Breeze House, then asked where it should be placed in the garden. It wasn't obvious. But despite this and the renovation, rather than replacement of the two main terraces, we transformed the shape, access, and use of this garden.

Beloved Olive trees now planted in the ground, have really picked up.

Before

The paving perfectly blends the old with the new.

We moved steps, added a new path and patio for the Breeze House, recycling the old path as edging and matched the existing sandstone with Raj Green pavers. Raj Green contains a mix of colours, from orange through to purple, which shows especially when it's wet.

The client wanted us to reflect her love of Africa, Italy and England. The planting is eclectic and colourful. Next summer will be amazing.
