In this west-facing garden, we created a space to relax at both ends of a large of lawn and easy-to-maintain planting.

The design makes the most of the sun and shade. A neat path provides access to the outbuilding, and an innovative, curved deck offers an all-year, shady seating area with or without cushions or furniture. We took care to calculate the optimum curve and it's remarkably comfortable. Beyond that is a crushed granite surface with a barbecue. The spacious porcelain patio by the house is a wonderful sun trap.
