East Twickenham, TW1: west facing, in need of love.
This garden had a good structure with old raised beds but the planting had totally gone to pot. The right side was overgrown and the left empty.
We cleared everything except a large Agapanthus and a lovely Trachelospermum that was carefully rearranged to cover the right fence. The tatty fence was replaced and painted a clean fresh blue. The old shed was replaced and a neat, brick hard-standing laid instead of the messy gravel. The brick area adds warm colours to old Yorkstone which was repointed. A lovely sedum roof now tops the cute little shed.
The beds have been replanted with suitable specimens for the mixed hot sun and part shade conditions. Lots of flowers and evergreen foliage, clematis and climbing roses.
This garden is now pretty all year round and attracts lots of wildlife.
